I am interested in art history of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, mainly in painting, architecture and music.

In 1979 I founded together with some friends the Ensemble für Alte Musik der Ev. Kirchengemeinde Schwerte. This ensemble plays music between the 12^th and early 17^th century on copies of historical instruments 

Sacred music

I am conducting the brass ensemble of the CVJM Westhofen.

Music and computer

Some sources of old music (especially facsimiles of handwritings) are difficult to read or play. I re-edit such manuscripts for the use of our ensembles by means of the programme CAPELLA^tm. "side products" of this work are MIDI-Files.

Computer programming

Using VISUAL BASIC^tm and formally QBASIC^tm  I develop computer-programmes for the topics graphics, MIDI, image analysis, statistics... but this is partly scientific business.
